Owego Little League News Brief
Deadline for returning players to register online for Owego Little League’s (OLL) 2013 season is Wednesday, March 13. Player Agent Karen Vinti is very enthusiastic about the online response so far. Webmaster Eric Hawkins reminds parents to go to the OLL website at www.eteamz.com/owego and follow the prompts.
Volunteer opportunities are at the heart of OLL. Consult with President Ken Winters by calling 687-4564 to learn how to best to use your talents and skills. By volunteering you help provide your kids with the best Little League experience possible.
Become an umpire, a team manager or coach, help with field maintenance, a concession stand helper or inquire about many other necessary tasks. Consider a league officer position such as Umpire in Chief, VP-Teener League, Equipment Manager and Scheduler for next season.
Webmaster Eric Hawkins keeps the OLL website up to date; that includes Facebook and Twitter.
View the upcoming League Calendar. Next important event is the all managers and coaches meeting on Thursday, March 7, at 7 p.m. at the Tioga County Office Building on Main and Academy Streets. League President Ken Winters will brief the coaches on the 2013 season and answer questions with his officers and staff.
Check out the two pictures of the Warner Building Replacement. The OLL Family thanks the former Flats Community Club for funding the replacement, and all the volunteers who helped out during construction. The original Warner Building was lost in the flood of September, 2011.
Use the new Little League newsfeed feature at the top of the homepage. OLL automatically receives updates directly from Little League International. Some of the current headlines include Free Coaches Resources, Specific Information on Child Abuse and the New Little League Tee Ball Program.
