New York landowners move forward with lawsuit against New York State
As New York State misses a critical deadline to finalize regulations governing natural gas development, the Joint Landowners Coalition of New York (JLCNY) recently announced it is moving ahead and seeking plaintiffs for its lawsuit against New York State for a taking of property rights under the United States and New York Constitutions.
The JLC is seeking landowner candidates to serve as plaintiffs in the action. The action will focus on claims where the failure to grant HVHF permits has deprived landowners of all economically viable uses of their real property or interfered with reasonable investment-backed expectations.
The JLCNY states that candidates should contact Scott R. Kurkoski, Esq., 450 Plaza Dr., Vestal, N.Y. 13850, call (607) 584-5620 or email to email@example.com.
The JLC noted they are exploring various options to fund the litigation against the State and therefore request that donations not be sent until they issue a specific litigation funding request, although general support for the JLCNY is needed and can be sent to: JLCNY, PO Box 2839, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902.
